Lack of Systems Acting

as seen from the Thinking-Doing Gap

Amanda Bueno de Mesquita Systems thinking and systemic talking are all very well. It seems to me that it is systems DOING that is the stumbling block. Yesterday at 8:11am

However, systems thinking is difficult to learn (Nguyen, Graham, Ross, Maani, & Bosch, 2012). Or, more prosaically put, “Complexity thinking is hard” (Tait & Richardson, 2011, p.v). In short, complexity science has not been effective at creating tools for practitioners.

Inconsistency Between Thinking and Being

Dmitry Sokolov M Ichael, regarding the healthy life. I remember reading somewhere that with educated wife a man lives longer.
At same mechanisms of self-regulation of living systems, care and support at higher organisation levels actually makes effect.
Not only other people but ourselves can affect our lives too. We may find numerous examples of the "healthy lifestyles", physical exercises and food, mental conditions and attitude to keep, etc.
"Living" itself is a very broad term. Some of us live in happiness, others are suffering. Should it mean that we just "let the nature treat it's faults"? What is the purpose of medicine and healthcare, education, social life and many other features of our civilisation?
I still believe, our core difference with the cells in a living organism is our (desire of) independence from each other and physical ability of freedom. Systems thinking, living systems... We can create as many models of our society, talk about being a part of Creative Universe but keep ourselves as distant and as isolated from each other as no cell in any organism can ever be.

That's only our personal choice, to be connected and involved in lives of other people, or not. 5 mins

Oscar Westra Van Holthe Do people have experience here with systemic (family and/or organizational) constellations? In my view it's a great way to simplify complexity, make its dynamics experiential, and it can be very clarifying for when you are in search of ways/actions/directions to contribute to a more inclusive world. Another thing I would like to add is that we are not just system thinkers or system doers/builders. We also come from social systems. So in my view it's also about systems being. Once we can integrate that, there is a way to make it tangible and doable to live more in this reality of multiple systems. We start to see it because we can feel and sense it now, because we are all born within. And we have learned to open our bodily awareness and senses to navigate its dynamics, which makes it both big and small. By knowing your place within the wider social, technical, and ecological systems, we learn what it is we can do, and what it is we need to accept now. Yesterday at 8:42am
