Conventional Product Development
|
|
|
|
1 |
Knowledge Gathering
|
New product strategy development |
Knowledge of different origin and point of view is acquired and fixed |
Knowledge is acquired |
"Gathering your ingredients"
|
2 |
Development of Understanding
|
|
Understanding is developed when the "critical mass" of knowledge meets the demand (a problem) |
Understood, and the ability is gained to
|
putting the ingredients together and letting things simmer
|
3 |
Idea Generation
|
Idea Generation |
Ideas appear |
4 |
Screening and Evaluation |
Screening and Evaluation |
Application of the developed understanding as certain actions towards the desired goal
Adjustment of knowledge and models based on the new data, knowledge and understanding developed
|
Apply that Knowledge in specific circumstances |
Ideas Validation
Deciding which are the good ideas (the ratio is about 99-1 nonsense to brilliance).
|
5 |
Proposal |
Business Analysis |
Making the good ideas happen efficiently.

A simplistic map of the process:
|
Step 1 - Identify the "Bright Idea" |
|
|
|
Requirements |
Step 2 - Define the Requirements Step 3 - Information & Planning (Patent Search, Market Research) |
|
Step 4 - The Design Phase |
Design |
|
Prototyping |
Step 5 - - Prototyping |
|
|
|
|
Production |
Step 6 - - Production |
1. Knowledge of different origin and point of view is acquired and fixed
2. Understanding is developed when the "critical mass" of knowledge meets the demand (a problem) / Project Development Analysis Stage
3. Application of the developed understanding as certain actions towards the desired goal.
4. Adjustment of knowledge and models based on the new data, knowledge and understanding developed.
Systems Thinking - A Simple Rules and Ethos Primer
Equivalent to Blooms Taxonomy levels 1-3, where
- Knowledge is acquired, then
- Understood, and the ability is gained to
- Apply that Knowledge in specific circumstances.
Presentation of Project
at 9:42 am on Jan 4, 2016
From the blooms taxonomy area... three categories as KSA (Knowledge [cognitive], Skills [psychomotor], and Attitudes [affective]) (1,3,2) Know how to do it right , want to do it tight , do it right
Note that the above project development stages involves: speculation, negotiation , execution, evaluation states surrounding the particular matter at hand.
Then there is the meta-adjustments to the structures and stages and other actors/interactions (which seems to be 'obvioueated' - obviously made into a verb and presented in past participle form. similar to implicitly omitted + assumed salve for it being an explicit action done under the influence of particular ideas that opt to commit and ostracize certain notions by omission )

Esteban, sorry for delay with the reply. I just accidentally found your comments.
Please edit the content of the page, add your comments at the bottom of the page, rather than using comments!!
Please feel free to be a participant of LIM, not a guest!
See http://confocal-manawatu.pbworks.com/w/page/103900283/IVAN%20AIMS%20UCS%20LikeInMind%20PBWorks
for more ideas how to work with "contradictory" ideas and concepts.
Thank you very much!!

It would be nice to be able and edit one's owns comments (and/or know how to do it if it's already possible)

Esteban, sorry, I do not know how to edit the comments. I have only very limited control over PBWorks platform.
My suggestion would be to work entirely in the main page area. Facebook or other "chatting" / co-editing platform like Google Docs would work too but still, theoretically and from my practical experience, it's better to have all relevant comments to work kept on LiM.
If you decide to go this way, we already have two styles of work:
- atomisation, my favourite, where all "independent" ideas and pieces of content are published separately but interlinked with the relevant topics
- "all in one view", I think Michael's favourite, where all content is brought together within one page on a topic.
- both methods can be combined. Please ask me for more info if interested.
Thank you!!
