Action Plan
Steven Putter what i would like to see from projects that i advise is the following
Team: small write up about everyone in the team
Organogram: who ultimately carry responsibility
Systems: what internal systems do they have in place
Resources: Full list of resources, they usually need help with this on this side of the world as they only see one tenth of them
Meta visssion
Guiding Principles
I believe ones that information has been elicited properly and thoroughly for a outsider to understand, then one can begin with awareness and give the project a set of ideas that they can then choose from.
Without that information and understanding the context wrong "advise" is sure to follow, i have seen it too many times to care to remember it. 4m

Write Concept Note
Main idea:
development of Off-Grid Mobile Mesh Networks infrastructure for Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Oceania and other developing countries.
Answer question: what the smartphones are for
what is the "deserve" factor
what outcome will it create if it was in place
Fundraising on FB, crowdfunding platforms |
maybe a gofundme campaign to buy second hand smartphones and a campaign for people to donate used smartphones using a campaign, with FB today you can boost a post to reach hundreds of thousand of people for silly money like $50
i believe if your concept note is good, with links to the projects on the ground and some background on the people that will benefit, what it will empower them to create, it can get good traction

Requirements to the Off-Grid Mobile Mesh Network
talk to people who have implemented similar systems / engineers / developers
Equipment for each location
touchphone models
routers?
Software
ScuttleButt?

Business Plan |
We need a project plan that answers What? Where? When? Success measured by what?
For a business plan we need: Where will the money come from to start? Where will the money come from to keep it going? How much money can we expect in 3 months, 6 months, 1 year. And make some reasonable guesses about 5 years.

Interface between off-grid and mobile networks for data exchange |
Options:
- sharing of individual connections
- registering and operating as a local ISP / hub of existing mobile networks
- installation of off-grid transmitters including those on solar and other power

$50 / month

Probably not very important as it will be shared, hopefully the interface can be arranged for data sharing for the whole community
Steven: One modem or router and 5 people can connect wireless and the data is $50 per month or all to share 30gig |
FaceBook use
Free on Airtel
WiFi router |
$50 |
Sources of income |
Steven: "Equal opportunity, to me it is a fundamental, as nothing is for free"
Possibilities:
- Michael: "volunteering treated like a job with responsibilites, the payment is being put on the cell phone program..."
