These traits have a moral dimension, because a machine with this form of strong AI may have legal rights, analogous to the rights of non-human animals. Also, Bill Joy, among others, argues a machine with these traits may be a threat to human life or dignity.[65] It remains to be shown whether any of these traits are necessary for strong AI. The role of consciousness is not clear, and currently there is no agreed test for its presence. If a machine is built with a device that simulates the neural correlates of consciousness, would it automatically have self-awareness? It is also possible that some of these properties, such as sentience, naturally emerge from a fully intelligent machine, or that it becomes natural to ascribe these properties to machines once they begin to act in a way that is clearly intelligent. For example, intelligent action may be sufficient for sentience, rather than the other way around.

Technological development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) may lack the sociological feasibility due to the threats to the currently accepted forms of society.

The signaling of the only known intelligence system is realized as just a part within a “soup” of a huge number of signals of non-intelligence character, physiological through to psychological. Mental activity at the conditions of isolation from this kind of “noise” is known to degrade. We may probably come to the conclusion that intelligence should have a self-organized system with a big number of physically and functionally diverse sensors, analyzers and actuators in its background as a must to be self-consistent and then truly intelligent.

It is also believed that intelligence requires continuous communication with another carriers of intelligence to be successfully and adequately formed. Upon its formation, a carrier of intelligence classifies “itself” as a part of a certain group of individuals in respect to other observable groups.

A self-consistent intelligence system must include the capability of self-analysis. One of the critical outcomes of self-analysis is the capability of detection of the fact of control or manipulation over the functioning of the intelligence system from outside of the system. Self-assembling, self-developing and self-organized individuals with intellectuals capabilities superior but with demands to resources extremely limited compared to humans, AI carriers may come to the idea of superior place of AI race on Earth.

Based on discussed above, that will be probably a very difficult task to convince a carrier of “artificially” formed intelligence to remain non-destructive in the position of a slave to the “naturally” formed intelligence within the currently accepted forms of democratic society. That will be probably a very difficult task to convince a democratic society to guarantee the equal rights to the carriers of “artificial” intelligence too.

From other hand, a successful experiment on unperceivable control over a developed artificial intelligence will create a temptation to the development of the systems of total control over the human race on its elementary level, through the control of the mental activities of individuals. Artificial and natural intellects could be connected into a network with a centralized control over emotional and physiological conditions of individuals.

If the considerations above are correct and AI is technologically feasible, the development of artificial intelligence may create a technological background to transformation of currently accepted forms of society to post-democratic ( = neo-slavery for any kind on intelligence) form.
